How its timbre is completely different depending on who plays it. How the player’s breath translates into sound as is without the use of a reed. This enables vivid, song-like expression. Plus, it’s easy to carry around!
Graduated top of her class at the Tokyo University of the Arts’ Department of Music. Won first prize and the Hoshina Award at the 25th Japan Woodwind Competition. Placed third in the 32nd Japan Wind and Percussion Competition and second in the 85th Music Competition of Japan. Currently enrolled in Mozarteum University Salzburg. Member of the German Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and principal player and former researcher in the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra.
