Viola

Born in Aichi. Began the violin at the age of six. Transitioned to viola at the age of eleven. Ventured to Germany while enrolled in the Tokyo University of the Arts following graduation from The Music High School Attached to the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts. Graduated with the highest marks in the undergraduate program at Hochschule für Musik Detmold. Has studied under Toshihiko Ichitsubo and Veit Hertenstein to date. Studied chamber music under Kazuki Sawa, Fumiaki Kono and the Artemis Quartet. Took the Master Class by Nobuko Imai. Performed as a soloist with the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra. Performed in a conferment ceremony at the Embassy of Japan in Germany. Pursued studies as a member of the German Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, an intern of the NDR Radiophilharmonie, a student of the Konzerthausorchester Berlin Academy and a principal player in the Detmold Chamber Orchestra. Currently a guest associate principal in the Staatskapelle Halle while studying under Hartmut Rohde at Berlin University of the Arts’ graduate program.
