Made his way to the United States unaccompanied at the age of 16. Graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy and subsequently from the Eastman School of Music.
Completed graduate program at the Cleveland Institute of Music.
Performed as a principal under the conducting of Leonard Slatkin, Riccardo Muti and others.
Participated in the Aspen Music Festival, the National Repertory Orchestra and the Pacific Music Festival (PMF), and was awarded a full merit scholarship for each.
Has served as principal on both the Firelands Symphony Orchestra and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago.
Currently belongs to Hyogo Performing Arts Center (PAC) Orchestra as an affiliate player (a performer who also provides operational support) after serving as a co-principal. Is also currently a member of the Japan National Orchestra as a resident player.
